Finding Products
The amalgamation of the 4 websites previously at www.fibrecrafts.com, www.papershed.com,
www.selectasine and
www.polymerclaypit.co.uk means that the extensive George
Weil range of craft products are all now available from one
domain at www.georgeweil.com. There are a number of ways in which to locate a
product.

The top navigation has products categorised by
craft Materials. Most regular crafters will use this
section to replenish their stock of craft materials. Here you
will also find links to the
Fact File which includes
further information about the products (including Materials
Safety Data Sheets), crafts for which they are used, gallery
pictures and project ideas.

The left hand navigation has products categorised by
Craft. Each craft section offers the materials and
equipment available for the craft.

The right hand navigation provides quick access
to the branded products available from George Weil.
Selecting a brand name will provide a page of products relating
to that brand, i.e. fast access to all products supplied by Deka
or Fibrecrafts.

Products can be located by searching the website
(located at the top of the page next to the George Weil logo).
There are the options to search the entire range of available
craft supplies or to specify a craft section.
Colour Charts
Colour charts are supplied for all colour
products. These are provided to indicate the colours of
dyes, paints, yarns and fibres. There will be variations depending on
monitor settings as the brightness, contrast and room conditions
will all effect the colour seen. It is recommended that colour
and swatch cards are ordered where colour matching is vital.
Prices
All prices are shown inclusive of UK rates of
VAT (sales tax) and will be charged to EU residents only, using
the rate applicable at the invoice date. Non EU residents, and
residents of the Channel Islands, do not pay sales tax for orders
delivered to their residential address.
Savings
The
George Weil Society (GWS) offers members 10% discount on all
products (excluding Art Clay Silver clays, books and magazines and any individual item
over £500.00) plus free handling & delivery on orders over
£4.95. A membership can be bought for £19.50 at the same
time as placing an order and the benefits start immediately.
You can also save when you order multiples of specific products.
Search for our Buy More & Save offers to save 10% on most
yarns and fibres and 15% on silk scarves!
Buying Products

Browse through the navigation sections
described in 'Finding Products'.

At the product page, click 'add to basket'.
This proceeds to the shopping basket. Choose either 'continue shopping', 'save' or 'proceed
to checkout'.

Choosing 'save' will retain the shopping
basket for 7 days. This requires logging in to an
existing account or setting up a new account (see
privacy policy).

Choose 'Proceed to Checkout' to login or
register.

The next page shows your registered address
and an option to add a delivery address.

Choose 'Proceed to Checkout' to confirm basket contents and delivery information, and to select a
payment option.
Payment Options
There are 5 payment options:
Pay now with a credit/debit card:
Credit/debit card payments are processed through
a secure payment page by an independent company called Sagepay
(how secure am I?
find out more...).
Sagepay refer the payment details to the debit/credit card
issuer, and validation is confirmed by the password entered at
this stage. The password is registered by the card owner
with the card issuer and this information is not made known to
George Weil & Sons Ltd.

Pay later with a credit/debit card:
A
confirmation email will be sent. Telephone 01483 565800
and quote the order number to arrange payment with a
credit/debit card within 5 working days.
Ordering for a
school/college/workshop:
George Weil can offer educational bodies and
professional craft tutors special terms for buying craft
supplies, find out more...
Pay later with a cheque
A
confirmation email will be sent. Quote the order number
on the back of the cheque and send it within 5 working days.
Payment for Overseas Customers
Any of the 4 previous options can be chosen as
a method of payment, plus Paypal.

Items out of Stock
95% of orders are filled from stock.
Customers will be advised of incomplete orders and out of stock
items over £4.95, will be sent when the stock is replenished.
There will be no additional delivery charges incurred.
Delivery Information
Orders received week days and before 12 noon will normally
be delivered within 3 working days to addresses in the UK.
If your parcel weighs less than 2.5kg, it will be delivered
by Royal Mail, otherwise it will be delivered by courier. Delivery time is not predictable but will be before 5.30pm,
week days. Please see below for delivery information on orders
from overseas.
If you place an order during the weekend, please allow a
further 24 hours.
UK handling & delivery charges are:
orders up to £50.00 net = £5.95
orders up to £94.99 net = £4.45
orders over £95.00 net = FREE delivery
orders over £4.95 from George Weil Society members = FREE delivery
magazines & magazine subscriptions = FREE delivery
Please ensure that your goods can be received, or give
instructions where they can be left safely, as free re-delivery
cannot be guaranteed.

Overseas Customers
Orders from overseas customers are welcome. You
will be advised of the delivery cost in a separate email. Proceed through the check out area, complete the 'notes' section
specifying a preference for either surface or airmail and provide
us with payment details (please see above 'Payment Options' for method of payment).
The goods will not be dispatched until we have received a response to
our email confirming carriage costs.
VAT at the current rate is included in the prices shown on
this web site. For orders from countries outside
the EU & Channel Islands, the total order value will be
adjusted to remove the VAT. The buyer may be liable for import
tax
and duty at the rate set by their government.
Product Advice
Due to the nature of the craft materials sold by
George Weil, there
will often be variation between batches. Products
effected will include recycled Sari yarns, natural undyed
fibres, handmade papers, hand-dyed silk fibres, natural dyes and
some mordants and chemicals. It is recommended to order enough
materials to complete a project.
Whilst we are happy to give advice on product
use, we cannot accept liability as conditions of use are outside our control.
Printed Catalogue
We have decided not to print a mail order
catalogue for 2013 and our stock of 2012 catalogues have
expired. A copy of the 2012 George Weil mail order catalogue is
