 You
may wonder why we have decided not to stock the other metal
clays that are currently available on the market.
We stock Art Clay Silver clay because it is easy to model and
simple to fire. It has a reliable track record and 'does exactly
as it says on the tin'.
The bronze and copper clays however, have a chequered past! Some
artists have had success working with them, while others have
struggled with the consistency (which has differed between
batches), and the firing process has revealed cracks and breaks.
We don't want to sell any product to our customers unless it is
able to satisfy expectation 100%. We are keeping a close eye on
this market and intend to stock the bronze and copper clays once
there is a proven continuity in their performance.
In the meantime, a new bronze clay, BRONZclay FASTfire™, is due
to launch in July 2011 and tests performed by Judi Weers (see
her website) are looking promising.
