Deka Cristal is a water-based transparent paint for painting on glass, ceramics, wood, paper, cardboard, stone, plaster, metal, foil and more. It is also suitable for airbrushing and dipping. With its high gloss and durability it is lightfast and water resistant.
The paint can be diluted with water by up to 5%, or mixed with clear Deka Cristal, to create more transparency and brushes clean easily under running water. Elements of a painting can be outlined with Deka Paste Outliner to prevent colours from running into each other. The paint can be heat hardened for 30 minutes in a 170°C oven.
Preparing the Surface for Glass Painting
The surface must be clean to ensure the paint will adhere. Remove grease with soapy water or white spirit and handle the glass as little as possible.
Shake the bottle well before opening it and apply the paint with a soft brush. The paint will dry transparent within an hour. Paint another coat to increase the intensity of colour.
