The Fibrecrafts brand was set up in 1982 to source crafts supplies from around the world for the fabrics and decorative market. These offer a wide choice of the best materials and equipment, chosen for their quality, ability to do the job and good value. The Fibrecrafts policy sets great store on holding good stock of the 'hard to find' items which are essential for the successful artist and craftsman.
Customers include felt makers, dyers, silk painters, jewellery makers, screen printers, weavers, knitters, modellers, paper makers, spinners - in fact, the range of craft materials are so varied that they can be applied across many other crafts. For the student the selection of Fibrecrafts Explorer Packs and starter kits (complete with instructions, materials and equipment) is often the best place to begin. In addition to the diverse range of craft materials, there is an extensive Book Shop which includes important books for beginners through to experts sourced from publishers across the world. Many of the books are only stocked by specialist suppliers, of which Fibrecrafts is a leader. The books have been selected for their informative content and inspirational ideas.
The Fibrecrafts range of products is a key part of the George Weil & Sons Ltd business. This business has grown through the acquisition of other reputable craft suppliers to become an important source of fabrics and decorative materials for the crafts and fine art market.
