Speedball Diazo Photo Emulsion allows for screen printing of fine line drawings, lettering and photographic half-tone positives by creating a stencil on the screen from photo emulsion. The stencil is created by placing a film negative or a constrasting image drawn on clear acetate onto a treated screen and then exposing it to a light source (a 250w BBA Photoflood bulb or equivalent is recommended. The areas of the design which prevent the light from penetrating will remain water-soluble and wash away, while the exposed areas of the solution will harden and act as the stencil, preventing the screen ink from penetrating the screen.
