The slip version of the new formula Art Clay Silver clay. Containing recycled silver, Art Clay Silver paste has a firing temperature of 650°C up to 800°C and is used to mend cracks in unfired metal clay pieces, add texture, attach findings to the dried clay before firing and to join unfired pieces together. It can also be used to coat organic shapes such as leaves; the organic material burns away leaving the fine detail captured in silver. Can be fired using a gas hob, blow torch or kiln methods, kiln only if using a core such as cork clay. See more information about Art Clay Silver Paste (PDF)

Art Clay Silver is a precious metal silver clay which can be moulded or shaped into fine items of jewellery or small objects such as doll’s house photo frames. The malleable clay consists of fine particles of recycled pure silver mixed with a non-toxic organic binder. Once dry, the silver clay items are fired to burn away the binder to leave pure silver, which can then be hallmarked as 999 (99.9% pure).
