Supply of Polyform products from America continues to be very slow and erratic. We have no information on when ‘normal service’ will be resumed. We recommend FIMO polymer clays as the alternative.
Products IN STOCK ON 16th June 2022 can be ordered from the ‘drop-down’ listing on this page.
Sculpey Premo is a superior polymer clay, ideal for jewellery making, especially Millefiori, and caning work. It is very malleable and holds a sculpted line well. It is easily blended with other colours and can be combined with other clays, powders or pigments for creating different effects. Choose from a large selection of colours including the Premo Accent colours for different effects.
A selection of these Sculpey Premo colours are available in 454g blocks.
Once cured, the clay is strong and durable. It is not brittle – the thicker areas are hard and rigid and the thinner delicate areas ‘flex’ to reduce the risk of breakage. Bake in a domestic oven at 275°F (130°C) 30 minutes per 1/4 inch (6 mm) thickness. Do not microwave.
We recommend working on a smooth, non-porous surface such as glass chopping board or ceramic tile. Ensure your surface is free from dust and fluff as this is easily picked up by the clay. Cover cookware with baking foil before using it to heat-set the polymer clay. 130°C is a low temperature which should not be exceeded.
Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Wrap unused clay in cling film or place in a plastic bag. Store the clay in a cool, dark and dry place. Polymer clay can be stored at low temperatures with no ill effects to the properties of the clay. Tip: Refrigeration or freezing can extend the shelf life considerably. In the summer months, the clay may become partially cured if your climate is very hot and your house is not air conditioned.
