Calligraphy

Calligraphy is an expression of art through the written word. Different lettering styles are achieved with pen and nib and applied using ink. The nibs vary in shape and width allowing the calligrapher to achieve a style of writing appropriate to the task. Chinese calligraphy is another lettering technique which is achieved using a fine hair brush and inksticks, although liquid ink can also be used. For those wishing to authentically replicate the technique there are Chinese brushes and a large choice of watercolour brushes which you can order from George Weil.
