Natural coloured wool fibres, including rare breed Wensleydale, Bluefaced Leicester, English Downland, Cheviot, Jacob, Herdwick, and Suffolk for felt making, or spinning into soft handspun yarns. The finer, more lustrous wool fibre, such as Merino wool, will felt readily using the wet felting technique. Coarser wools can be felted together more easily using a felting needle. You can find out more about Felt Making or how to get started with hand spinning your own yarns from our Blog, or see posts relating to how to dye fibres with Acid dyes or Natural dyes to create your own colour range.
