Otherwise known as Retain, Fixitol P can be used to improve washfastness and boost colourfastness, particularly in deep shades and is suitable for use with most dyes including Deka L direct dyes, Procion MX dyes and Acid Dyes. Add Fixitol P (1 part to 4 parts water) to the final rinse at 40°C after dyeing, printing or painting fabric. Allow to soak for 30 minutes. The process will need to be repeated intermittently for items needing frequent washing.
Fixitol will help to prevent colours from fading when washing on a gentle washing machine cycle at 30°C. Wash dyed items separately for first few washes.
