These silk colours can be used with H Dupont AlterEgo colours for the double dyeing of mixed fibre fabrics such as those containing viscose or cotton and silk or wool. The technique is especially effective for dyeing devore fabric which has been created from velvet fabric which has a silk backing and viscose pile. Both dyes are used in the same dye pot allowing the protein fibres (silk or wool) and the cellulose plant fibres (cotton, viscose and linen) to be dyed two different colours simultaneously.
