100cm wide Solvy vanishing film is for use in freeform embroidery and other techniques. This translucent water soluble film dissolves readily on contact with water, leaving stitching and other embellishments in place. Try sandwiching silk fibres between two sheets of this dissolvable film, freeform stitch through the layers looping and crossing over until the fibres are captured in the threads. Place the fabric in a bowl of warm water so that the water-soluable film dissipates (repeat this procedure until the water is clear).
Solvy is sold by the metre. Where more than one metre is ordered, it will be supplied in one continuous length.
