Vilene is a non-woven fabric traditionally used as interfacing but can also be painted, screen printed or sewn onto in 3D embroidery. It is very light-weight and ideal for making kites and any other construction that needs light-weight material.
Using Bondaweb as the adhesive, it can be used to back delicate papers such as Mulberry paper, making the paper more acceptable to stitch.
Weavers will find this fabric of interest in that it can be used to transfer a cartoon which is then attached to the loom. The fabric is stronger than paper, semi-transparent and has no bias, making it extremely stable. 100% polyester
Price per metre, 90cm wide. This fabric is sold by the metre. Where more than one metre is ordered, the fabric will be supplied in one continuous length.
