The Clover Needle Felting Tool incorporates 5 felting needles and a protective clear plastic sleeve which moves up into the body of the needle puncher when the needle felting tool is depressed (see diagram).
Use the needle felting tool to felt wool tops and to effortlessly applique pieces of woven, knitted or felted wool onto other items such as sweaters, jackets and blankets. You can even attach wool yarn, prefelt fabric and unfelted wool tops.
Simply place the material onto the item to be decorated and depress the felting tool. Fibres are caught up in the barbs along the length of the felting needles and are pushed through the base layer. These fibres become interlocked with the base layer and remain in place as the felting needles return to the shaft of the needle felting tool. Repeating the process ensures that the fibres are fully attached.
Safety note: felting needles are very sharp and it is recommended that a needle felting protection pad or needle felting brush are used to prevent injury and protect surfaces. The protection pad needs to be placed beneath the materials before commencing use of the felting tool.
