A dark Chestnut brown Merino wool top dyed in a repeatable and consistent colour. Perfect for needle felting animals and wildlife, or for blending with other colours to create skin tones, this natural brown will appeal to felt makers.
The Fibrecrafts Merino wool tops are specially and carefully prepared for a good felting and fine spinning performance. They wet felt with minimum effort and can produce a super soft, fine yarn when spun. Hand spinners can blend this fine Merino wool with other fibres such as Mulberry silk or Tencel to create a variegated yarn.
Chunky arm knitting can also be achieved with wool roving, simply split it along its length and give a slight twist between stitches.
Merino 64s wool tops, 23 microns, fibre length 7-8cm. Choose from 50g or 100g (100g of wool fibre will make a square of felt approximately 30cm wide). Recommended felting needle size: 38 gauge
