A pale creamy white Bluefaced Leicester fibre which has an exceptionally fine lofty handle and is the most valuable of British wools. It is an excellent fibre for beginner spinners as it has a good grab quality and will not slide apart when drafted onto the spindle. Bluefaced Leicester also provides feltmakers with a natural coloured fibre for feltmaking and needle felting.
The Bluefaced Leicester wool top is lustrous and almost silky and hand spins into a beautifully soft yarn for knitting shawls, sweaters etc (50’s – 15cm staple). Spun hanks can be hand dyed using natural dyes, indigo or Acid Dyes. 100g bag.
