Easy to apply with fast results, Goldfinger Metallic Paste can be used to restore antiques, add gilt to picture frames, or repair small areas of gilded objects. It can be used on practically any surface including plaster, clay, wood, textiles, leather, paper or canvas. The paste can be applied with a soft cloth or finger and is buffed to a fine lustre; it is anti-smear and shows no signs of metallic particles when used.
This versatile product can be used in combination with oil paints and Daler-Rowney’s Georgian Oil Diluents, Mediums, and Varnishes allow artists to easily meld their Goldfinger gold paint to their desired consistency. As Daler-Rowney Goldfinger paste is thinnable with white spirit, artists can create a smooth and luxurious finish with ease.
Goldfinger is made using the finest quality diacetone alcohol and ethanol and can be used for long periods without drying out. Thin the paste with turpentine or white spirit to brush intricate areas or use as accents in artwork.
The paste works best on porous or slightly abraded surfaces. Lightly sand smooth surfaces with a fine sandpaper to provide a key.
