Silver leaf (18g per 1000 leaves). Transfer Silver Leaf, which is also known as Patent Leaf, is genuine silver leaf pressed onto a backing sheet of acid free tissue paper. This gives the silver leaf a little more weight and stability so that it is easier to handle. When the silver leaf comes into contact with a surface prepared with adhesive, it comes away from its paper backing. Transfer Silver Leaf is used for gilding onto flat surfaces such as walls and ceilings, and for calligraphy and illuminating, exterior gilding, and signage.
