Tin containing 35 water soluble coloured pencils which turn to ink when water is added, plus 1 outliner pencil. The Inktense colours can be blended together and intensify when water is applied. Contents include: Sherbert Lemon, Sun Yellow, Sienna Gold, Tangerine, Poppy Red, Chilli Red, Cherry, Shiraz, Red Violet, Fuchsia, Mauve, Violet, Peacock Blue, Iron Blue, Iris Blue, Bright Blue, Deep Indigo, Sea Blue, Teal Green, Iron Green, Ionian Green, Fiield Green, Felt Green, Apple Green, Leaf Green, Mustard, Tan, Saddle Brown, Baked Earth, Willow, Bark, Indian Ink, Charcoal Grey, Ink Black, Antique White and Outliner.
The ink marks become permanent and can be used in combination with other media to create a variety of stunning effects. The non-soluble Inktense outliner pencil allows you to draw outlines that are permanent, even when water is applied.
Derwent Inktense pencils and Inktense blocks offer very exciting opportunities for textiles artists. As the ink is permanent, it can be used on fabric and designs can be washed at 30°C and the fabric retains a good handle. On silk fabric, gutta outliner can be used to define areas and stop the Inktense colours from bleeding.
