A hand tool used for burnishing (smoothing and rubbing) the reverse side of paper when transferring ink from a cut block made from lino, Speedball Speedy-Carve, rubber or wood. It features a hard wood handle for a comfortable grip and a durable heavy-duty ABS plastic surface padded with foam, polyethylene and covered with nitrex nylon.
Designed to provide for a shock-absorbent, smooth slide, this baren makes it easy to create even pressure for better ink images. Varying the pressure will create different colour values on your print.
