Use Jacquard Screen Drawing Fluid as a temporary stencil to mask areas of the screen printing mesh that you do not want blocked out by Jacquard Screen Filler & Block Out. You can paint free-hand designs directly onto the screen, or trace designs through the screen mesh with a soft pencil. The vivid blue coloured Jacquard Screen Drawing Fluid is easy to see while applying it to the screen.
Applying Jacquard Screen Filler & Block Out – using Jacquard Screen Drawing Fluid
- Apply the Drawing Fluid
- You can place the screen mesh flat side down over a sketch or design and trace it onto the mesh with a soft lead pencil (6B-8B). To prevent damaging the screen, use a rounded lead and do not press too hard. Elevate the screen by placing items under the frame (another frame can help with this) to lift it away from the work surface.
- Alternatively you can paint your design directly onto the mesh with the drawing fluid by placing a clear acrylic sheet between the sketch and the screen mesh.
- Apply Jacquard Screen Drawing Fluid with a soft bristle brush onto the screen mesh in the areas you want to print through.
- When it is dry, use a squeegee to coat the entire screen with a thin, even layer of Jacquard Screen Filler.
- Allow the screen filler to dry completely and then spray both sides of the screen with cold water. The water-based Jacquard Screen Drawing Fluid will wash out to create the stencil in the remaining screen filler.
