A selection of screen printing squeegees with a choice of rubber blades.
The durometer is the hardness of the squeegee blade. It can range from 50 (very soft) through to 90 (extra hard). A durometer of between 65 and 75 will be rigid enough to push the ink through the screen and soft enough to glide over the differences in screen mesh. Ideally, a 90 durometer squeegee will be used with a high mesh count screen to leave a lighter ink deposit, essential for fine detail prints or four-colour processing.
