Selectasine ECO Pigments combined with Selectasine binders offer a versatile and cost-effective system for creating a full spectrum of colours and effects. Ideal for printers, artists and students, this flexible range allows you to produce your own screen printing inks with ease.
These highly concentrated pigment dispersions are suitable for formulating screen printing inks and paints, as well as adding colour to pulp in papermaking. A little goes a long way! The Selectasine ECO pigments are economical for experimenting and sampling and guarantee brilliant colours. Choose from 50g, 100g and 500g pots, or invest in 1kg tubs to ensure your workshop is always stocked up.
The system’s flexibility enables these water-based pigments to be intermixable, creating an extensive colour palette along with a variety of finishes depending on the binder used. Options include SF20 solvent-free binder for standard colours, opaque binder for dark fabrics, pearlescent binder for shimmering effects, and puff binder for raised, textured prints.
The finely dispersed pigment particles blend easily with binders, helping to prevent clumping and ensure smooth, consistent results. For best performance, use up to 6% pigment to binder ratio to produce permanent prints on fabric and paper. Viscosity can be adjusted with Selectasine Concentrated Printing Ink Thickener if required.
Heat set at 165°C for 5–6 minutes to achieve wash-fast results; this can be done by ironing on the reverse of the fabric. Curing time can be reduced to as little as one minute by adding Selectasine Crosslinker Ink Cure at 20g per kg of ink.
Store in an airtight container in a cool environment between 5°C and 25°C. Clean screens with water and a mild detergent after use.
Selectasine ECO Pigments are manufactured with environmental responsibility in mind. They are free from APEO (Alkylphenol ethoxylates) and Ethylene Glycol, and many colours meet the requirements of OEKO-TEX® and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). They also comply with EU, German and US regulations limiting PCB, Dioxin/Furan and heavy metal trace contamination, as well as ETAD standards.
Please note: Due to their chemical composition, Lemon Yellow and Green are not GOTS compliant. Turquoise Blue is a non-ECO pigment but is included within the range for colour versatility.
