Combine the Selectasine SF20 binder with Selectasine pigments to create screen printing inks for printing onto light coloured fabrics. This water-based acrylic emulsion is solvent free which makes it attractive for use in most environments, particularly the school art room, for use with young children, youth groups, therapy groups and home use.
The larger sizes of screen printing binder offer an economical method of making and mixing screen ink colours for studios, workshops and classrooms. Used at up to 6% Selectasine Eco Pigment to binder, a small selection of pigment colours (i.e. red, yellow, blue, black and white) can be mixed to most colours on the spectrum, while the Fluorescent colours offer a selection of fun and bright colours for the screen printer. Adding a small amount of Selectasine Concentrated Print Paste Thickener will increase the viscosity if required.
The screen printing inks are made wash fast by heat setting. Once dry, heat set at 165°C (330°F) for 4-5 minutes, this can be achieved by ironing on the reverse of the print. Adding Selectasine Crosslinker to the ink will reduce this time to just 1 minute. The shelf life of this binder is in excess of 12 months. Store in an airtight container in cool place above 5°C and below 25°C. Wash off screens using water and mild detergent.
These pictures show how easily our liquid pigments combine with our binders to make inks for screen printing. In this example we have used the pearl binder.
