Combine Selectasine SF20 Solvent Free Binder with Selectasine pigments to create professional quality screen printing inks for printing onto light coloured fabrics. This water-based acrylic emulsion is solvent free which makes it attractive for use in most environments, particularly work studios, school art rooms, for use with young children, youth groups, therapy groups and home use.
Use with Selectasine Eco Pigment colours to make your own customer screen printing inks. Add up to 6% in colour to Selectasine SF20 Solvent Free Binder, stir and print. There are a choice of pigment colours, which can be intermixed, plus a selection of fluorescent coloured pigments. Adding a small amount of Selectasine Concentrated Print Paste Thickener will increase the viscosity to allow for different printing techniques.
The screen printing inks are made wash fast by heat setting.
- The print must be completely dry (preferably air-dried for 24 hours) before heat setting, as the heat first evaporates any remaining moisture before curing.
- Once dry, heat set at 165°C (330°F)
- Iron on the reverse of the print for 4-5 minutes, or use a heat press for 30-60 seconds.
- Adding Selectasine Crosslinker to the ink will reduce this time to just 1 minute.
Wash off screens using water and mild detergent. The shelf life of this product is approximately 12 months from the date of purchase. Store in an airtight container in a cool place above 5°C and below 25°C. Due to some of the Selectasine products being sensitive to frost, we advise storage at temperatures above 5°C to ensure optimum performance.
Our pictures show how easily the liquid pigments combine with our binders to make inks for screen printing. In this example, our SF20 Binder was combined with Rubine Pink Eco Pigment.Â
