The Speedball fluorescent coloured inks are formulated for fabric screen printing. They do not contain solvents, are non-toxic and non-flammable. The screen printing inks can be intermixed, and the process colours allow for a full range of colours to be self mixed.
Speedball inks are safe for industrial, school or home usage and dry to a smooth matt finish. Screen prints have a soft handle and are wash fast if properly heat-set. The standard Speedball Fabric Printing Ink Colours are rated good to excellent for light fastness, the fluorescent colours slightly less. We therefore recommend testing before commencing a project.
Heat-set the screen inks when they are dry, by ironing on the wrong side for 3 minutes with a hot iron (use the proper setting for the fabric). Wash the fabric inside out at the proper wash temperature.
Speedball Fabric Screen Printing inks can be used on cotton, polyester and blends, linen, rayon, fibreglass, and other synthetic fabrics. Many of the colours are recommended for printing on white or light fabrics. On dark fabrics, check before going into production. Check all fabrics for opacity, adhesion, wash fastness, etc.
