If you are new to spinning, the popular Ashford Traditional Single Drive (Scotch Tension) Spinning Wheel is an excellent choice. The ball bearings and large wheel combined with the pivoted ‘heel-toe’ treadle provide smooth and effortless treadling with a steady speed.
The wheel has a separate drive band and bobbin brake adjustment making it is easy to understand and simple to operate, and the 4 speed flyer allows for different types of yarn to be spun while the maiden bar can be adjusted to aligned the whorl for perfect spinning.
This traditional spinning wheel is supplied with 4 bobbins, a 3 bobbin vertical Lazy Kate, a threading hook plus a learn to spin booklet, and the large choice of accessories allow for the wheel to be modified for different techniques.
