The three techniques of firing silver clay are catered for in this section. There is stainless steel the firing net which can be placed over a gas hob so that the dried silver clay can be placed directly on the heat source, the blow torch which allows you to move the heat source around the object, and the small Prometheus Pro-1 Kiln which can be used to fire larger pieces of the precious silver clay as well as for fusing glass and enamelling. The kiln is large enough to fire up to 10 pieces of Art Clay Silver clay at the same time and a small shelf can be built to stack the clay using small terracotta pots and a sheet of fibre board. The Antiquing Solution (liver of sulphur) can be used to create a patina on fired silver clay.

The tools for modelling, shaping and preparing the silver clay prior to firing can be found in Tools > Modelling >. These include tiny cutters for making shapes in the clay, extruders for extruding consistently shaped lengths of clay, silicone moulding putty, mandrels for ring making and a large assortment of other equally useful tools. Pure silver findings and gemstones which do not change colour when they are fired, as well as the full range of Art Clay Silver Clays, can be found in the Materials section.
