Attach this to the chain hanging from the program bars on the Magic Dobby Loom to keep the chain under tension. This is necessary if the chain is too long for tightening with the tensioners on the loom (usually when more program bars are attached in addition to the 20 supplied with the loom).
When the chain is so long that it hangs halfway down to the floor, the weight is not necessary as the weight of the program bars are then sufficient to keep the chain tight.
