The 70cm Louet Jane table loom with 16 shafts.
The Jane has been designed after consultation with weavers, while using successful techniques from its predecessor, the Kombo. There is no cord wear, since cords run over rollers and the overhead beater stays out of the way when throwing the shuttle. The loom can be folded down flat to just 14cm – making it portable and easy to store. This model includes a shuttle race to provide support for the shuttle while weaving and it can be used with the existing 70cm wide floor stand and the existing 2nd warp beam available separately (see “You may also like…” below)
The loom is made of lacquered beech and has a built-in raddle and is delivered part assembled. The kit includes a stainless steel 10 dpi reed, 1200 (12 bundles) Texsolv heddles 205mm, tie-up and lease sticks and sixteen warp sticks. Louet do not include a shuttle with this loom. If you would like to order a shuttle to get you started, a range of shuttles can be viewed on the George Weil website here.
The loom is delivered partially pre-assembled, download a PDF for the Louet Jane 16 shaft Loom assembly instructions.
