The 70cm Jane table loom from Louet has as standard 8 shafts and can be folded down flat to just 14cm – making it portable and easy to store.
The Jane has been designed after consultation with weavers, while using successful techniques from its predecessor, the Kombo. There is no cord wear, since cords run over rollers and the overhead beater stays out of the way when throwing the shuttle.
The loom is made of lacquered beech and has a built-in raddle and is delivered part assembled. The kit includes a stainless steel 10 dpi reed, 400 Texsolv heddles, tie-up and lease sticks and sixteen warp sticks. There is also a floor stand, available separately.
Weaving width 70cm (27 5/8″). Dimensions (width x depth x height): 87cm x 75cm x 65cm (34 1/4″ x 29 1/2″ x 25 5/8″), folded 14 cm (5 1/2″) high. Weight: 14 kg (31 lb).
