Exceptionally soft and light, the Ashford Merino Boucle Yarns are calling out to be made into a beautiful cloth.
These double knit yarns are created with loops of Merino wool yarn wrapped around a nylon core. The Brushed Boucle yarn has had the loops cut and combed to give it a feathery, ethereal appearance.
Although the yarns look delicate, they are strong enough for weaving, knitting and crochet, and can be hand-dyed using Acid or Natural dyes. Ashford recommend a weaving sett of 5-7.5 dpi and knitting needle sizes 4mm to 8mm.
The Ashford Merino Boucle Yarns are 82% New Zealand Merino wool (22 microns) and 18% nylon. Each 100g hank contains 450m (492yds) of yarn.
