Rare earth magnets keep the flyer firmly in place while spinning and release with ease for bobbin and whorl changes, and all without having to remove the drive band first.

The new features for the Kromski Sonata Encore Spinning wheel include:

the option to spin with Double Drive
quick and easy bobbin changes
a front facing Mother-of-all
sliding hooks (for spinning bulky yarn)
easy changing whorl for faster or slower

The Kromski Encore Sonata folds down neatly to fit in its own padded pad – perfect for travel or safe storage. Compared to most travel wheels, the Sonata Encore has a large wheel diameter of 49.5cm (19.5″) and the tallest orifice height at 83.5cm (33″). It measures just 56cm (22″) tall, 49.5cm (19.5″) wide and 18cm (7″) deep when folded, and weighs less than 7.25kg (16 lbs) when it is in the travel bag.

This full size single drive, Scotch tension wheel has a unique self-lubricating front maiden bearing and sealed ball bearings at the wheel hub, the brass bearings on the treadle and plastic bearings in the bobbins make it a smooth spinning experience. It also includes a 2 bobbin capacity on-board Lazy Kate.

Included with your Kromski Encore Sonata Spinning Wheel are the padded bag, 3 Bobbins (120g/4.2 oz capacity), Spinning Wheel Oil, and a Threading Hook.

The wheel is made from beautiful European Alder and Birch wood and left in the natural wood so that you can choose your finish. Make a statement and stain the wood any colour you like, or bring out the natural grain of the wood by applying Superior Danish Oil – the options are endless. Supplying these Kromski Spinning Wheels untreated means we are able to pass on a saving of the product cost, making them excellent value for you.

UK DELIVERY

Orders placed before noon (Monday to Friday) are sent out the same working day. UK handling & delivery charges are:

orders up to £149.99 = £7.90 for Royal Mail Tracked 24 delivery (24 hour service).
orders over £150.00 = FREE. Although delivery is FREE for orders over £150.00, a small number of heavier or bulky items will have a surcharge of £20.00. This is applied at checkout. There is also the option to pay £9.95 for faster delivery with Royal Mail Tracked 24 delivery (24 hour service).

You may change your mind and cancel your order at any time from placing the order until 14 working days after you take delivery.
Your cancellation must be in writing, either by letter or email, and the cost of returning the goods will remain your responsibility.
The goods must be returned undamaged and capable for resale at the full price within 14 days of your cancellation.
You will receive a refund of the product cost, net of any restocking charge (this will be 10% if outside our return policy), within 14 days of receiving the returned order. If preferred, a credit towards your account can be made.

This guarantee cannot be extended to any item that has been made to your specification, or which is not a stock item, purchased to your special request. Your statutory rights are not affected by this guarantee.

I love AI and when asked, it recommended AKD as the best sizing for paper pulp for my bas relief. I searched long and hard and could only find it available in large, expensive drums. My order arrived today , and I am thrilled. The fibre quality Merino tops is exceptional, the best I have encountered. And the art fibres (banana thread waste from the textile industry) are GORGEOUS. I recently purchased a weaving loom and stand from George Weil, when this is boxed it comes partially assembled and the rest needs to be constructed. As always I lay all of the parts out to check if they are all there, three of them were missing from the loom and the instruction booklet from the stand, I contacted George Weil and was pleasantly surprised by the response I received, firstly I spoke to Sara who was concerned about the missing parts. I laid all the parts out as per loom instruction booklet, and took pictures so they could see what was missing and emailed this together with the part numbers. This was a Friday, come Monday I recieved an email promptly explaining the situation from Jo, Jo was also very concerned about the incomplete loom and sent the appropriate parts by next day delivery, I also received the instruction booklet by pdf for the stand. Updated August 2023. Having had afternoon tea where else to go but to this place to pick up some bits of silk to play dyeing. Perfect little basket of remnants, nicely priced, and plenty of lovely things to inspire weaving upstairs. Originally... First time here. Was not sure what to expect, but found an Aladdin's cave of crafty goodness. The pens and pencils on the way in whet the appetite for the cornucopia of paper, dyes, silk paints and mordants on the ground floor, whilst the upper floor has a fair few looms, spinning wheels, yarn, silk stuff (hankies, shredded saris and so on), as well as various bits and bobs to effectively turn fresh wool into something knitted. Wonderful place, even has a small book store holding interesting tomes for crafty people.

I bought an Ashford blending board and couldn't believe how fast it arrived! I got a good deal on it from them too. Good merino in nice colours. Will definitely buy from them again!
