Ribbon made from torn strips of undyed pure silk Sari fabric. Ends and waste Sari fabric is collected from factories and the ribbon is produced by cottage industry co-operatives in India to provide additional income to families. The 2 – 2.5cm wide strips are sewn together to produce continuous lengths of approximately 50 metres per 100g.
The 100% silk ribbon can be dyed using Acid dyes, natural dyes or indigo. Weave, crochet, or knit to create unique textiles and accessories. Approximately 100g
