The Ashford Tabletop Tapestry Loom has been designed and developed with extensive testing and feedback from professional tapestry weavers. Available in a choice of weaving widths, 40cm (16″) and 60cm (24″), the Ashford Tabletop Tapestry Loom has an adjustable top tension beam to ensure the correct tension for warp threads, plus a 7.5 dpi reed to evenly space the warp and provide a shed system for faster and more accurate weaving. The reed can be set in three positions; forward, neutral, and back; by moving the reed from forward to back, the shed (the space between the upper and lower warp threads) opens ready to receive the weft loaded shuttle.
This sturdy loom has easy direct warping which simplifies the process for beginners and speeds it up for experienced weavers. The adjustable height side posts allow for comfortable weaving whether sitting or standing.
The Ashford Tabletop Tapestry Looms are crafted from solid Beech timber with a durable lacquered finish and folds flat with weaving in place for storage and transportation – it is so compact that you can even hang it on the back of a door! Perfect for home use, the loom also lends itself as an excellent tool for teaching tapestry in workshops and classrooms.
