The Ashford Tapestry Loom is mounted on its own stand and can be rotated for comfort and access. This simple but robust tapestry loom has a weaving width of 103cm and the revolving frame provides quick and easy warping. Loosening the handles and removing the locking peg allows you to pivot the tapestry frame on the stand. This helps to wind on an even warp. Tension knobs at the top of the frame are used to adjust the tension on the warp.
The second shed is made by attaching leashes to a heddle rod and the continuous warp allows the weaving length to be doubled.
Both the angle and height of the tapestry frame can be adjusted in the loom stand.
The Ashford Tapestry Loom is made from solid beech timber and comes with 2 Tapestry bobbins, a leash rod for the second shed, self-assembly instructions plus warping and weaving instructions. The wood has has a natural finish which can be waxed, varnished, stained or painted.
