If you are a felt maker or hand spinner and prefer natural wool fibres, this section includes a large choice for your projects. The natural coloured wool tops, include fibres from the rare breeds Wensleydale, Bluefaced Leicester, English Downland, Cheviot, Jacob, Herdwick, and Suffolk. The finer, more lustrous wool fibre, such as Merino wool, will felt readily using the wet felting technique. Coarser wools can be felted together more easily using a felting needle.
You can find out more about Felt Making or how to get started with hand spinning your own yarns from our Blog, or see posts relating to how to dye fibres with Acid dyes or Natural dyes to create your own colour range.
